Summary

The version archive now uses support status from releases-helper so Docs and Account follow one public-release policy.

Why this exists

Docs and Account calculated the support window independently. Account's list could hide a public RC, making it disagree with Docs. The releases service has the complete catalog and can calculate support before caller filtering.

Resolution

Use the supportStatus on /json?includePublic=1 entries for archive groups and badges. Derive series descriptions from the authoritative tagged releases and remove Docs' classifier. Docs keeps page data only; releases-helper owns classification.

Reviewer considerations

• Deploy the linked releases service change before publishing this consumer.
• Missing or unknown support status shows an explicit unavailable message instead of guessing a support category.
• Metadata-only prereleases retain their existing download guidance. Release ordering, table layout, and download permissions are unchanged.

Behavior changes

The latest public 7.4 RC is supported, the latest 7.3 patch receives security updates, and 7.2.x is EOL. Superseded builds remain in the supported-series archive. Empty and one-series catalogs have truthful descriptions. This implements the requested shared policy.

Implementation summary

• Consume endpoint support status for grouping, labels, and series descriptions.
• Remove independent policy ranking.
• Add visible loading and unavailable states for the shared contract.

Verification

• Scoped TypeScript check for VersionsTable.tsx: passed.
• Browser harness rendered the real component with output from the real service classifier/projection: all four statuses, RC download guidance, EOL tab, missing status, one/zero series, and request failure passed.
• Six existing Vitest tests and three Node tests passed with their respective runners.
• Formatting and diff checks passed. Full Docs build was not run, per repository instructions. Full-repo TypeScript has existing missing type/configuration errors.
• Browser evidence covers the component with Docusaurus provider boundaries, not a full themed site or live production endpoint.

Risk

Publishing before the producer would show the unavailable message. Deploy releases-helper first; revert this consumer if rollout must be undone. No deployment is part of this PR.
