Compact mode could wait indefinitely after Ctrl-C when Codex ignored the forwarded signal. Forward cancellation immediately, allow 250 ms for graceful shutdown, then stop the owned process group; repeated cancellation forces immediate shutdown while preserving the original signal exit status, including under output backpressure.
Show turn-start activity immediately and label recoverable diagnostic events neutrally. Keep the final response on stdout and preserve direct execution for verbose and interactive modes. Prepare patch release v0.6.1 with synchronized Cargo metadata, changelog, and download examples.
Validation: 91 workspace tests, rustfmt, Clippy, package dry-run, and package-content inspection passed. Regression coverage includes real-terminal interrupts, ignored signals, stopped agents, repeated cancellation, blocked output, and descendant cleanup. Independent review found no issues.
