CameraController

Control your cameras settings without using the software provided (or not) by the company.

About this fork

This is a fork of itaybre/CameraController. Changes from the original:

  • Sliders with an auto mode (Exposure, White Balance, Focus, Hue) can be moved while auto is on; moving one switches it to manual
  • Double-click a slider's handle to reset it to the camera's default
  • Right-click the menu bar icon to open the app, apply a profile or quit
  • Works with more cameras (e.g. Logitech C922), which previously showed empty settings tabs
  • Window sizes to fit the controls, with no scrolling
  • Always uses dark appearance, so it's readable in Light Mode
  • Opens faster: cameras are detected in the background
  • Camera preview no longer freezes the window while it starts or switches cameras
  • Fixed Pan/Tilt sending broken values to the camera
  • More reliable camera detection on newer macOS
  • Fixed the "Move to Applications" prompt

Download this version from Releases: each release includes a signed and notarised app, ready to use. Unzip it and move CameraController.app to Applications. The Homebrew install below gets the original app.

FAQ

  • Does it work with Apple's Facetime Camera?

In old machines it will work, but new machines (wth T1 and T2 chip) require a special entitlement only available to Apple.

Support

  • macOS Catalina (10.15) and up.
  • Works with cameras controllable via UVC.
