🚀 Quickstart & Local Setup

Prerequisites

• Java 21 or higher installed
• Node.js 18+ & npm
• PostgreSQL 16+ with pgvector extension enabled
• Groq Cloud API Key & Google Gemini API Key

1️⃣ Clone the Repository

git clone https://github.com/shobhitkumar-1/getdevnode.git
cd getdevnode

2️⃣ Backend Setup (Spring Boot)

1. Navigate to the backend directory:

   cd backend

2. Configure environment variables in application.properties or system environment:

   SPRING_DATASOURCE_URL=jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432/getdevnode
   SPRING_DATASOURCE_USERNAME=postgres
   SPRING_DATASOURCE_PASSWORD=yourpassword
   
   GROQ_API_KEYS=gsk_key1,gsk_key2
   GEMINI_API_KEYS=AIzaSyKey1,AIzaSyKey2

3. Run the backend application:

   ./mvnw spring-boot:run

   Backend will start on http://localhost:8080

3️⃣ Frontend Setup (Next.js)

1. Open a new terminal and navigate to the client directory:

   cd client

2. Install dependencies:

   npm install

3. Create a .env.local file:

   NEXT_PUBLIC_API_BASE_URL=http://localhost:8080

4. Start the development server:

   npm run dev

   Frontend will start on http://localhost:3000
