Infrastructure should have an end as explicit as its beginning.
We're building Burnable around resource lifetimes: declare what you need, give it a lease, and account for its destruction. The foundations are open source. The hosted service is still in development.
| Tool | Job | Start here |
|---|---|---|
| ifx | Declare, reconcile, and prove infrastructure as one typed Rust graph. | Local labs |
| nesos | Define network namespaces, isolate workloads, and navigate their connections. | Guided lab |
ifx's local lab: create resources, apply again, clean up. No cloud account required.
nesos: a direct route into a Linux network namespace.
- Make the plan inspectable and the boundary explicit.
- Keep secrets out of source and client processes.
- Show reproducible demos; distinguish implemented behavior from a roadmap.
- Treat cleanup as part of the resource lifecycle.
The engine already supports lease deadlines. Independent reaping and the hosted service remain work in progress. A timer alone is not a destruction guarantee.
