This repository hosts the workday Claude Code plugin marketplace and its single listing, Sana
from Workday, powered by Sana — Workday's trusted AI.
The plugin connects to the Workday Agent Gateway over HTTP MCP. The gateway supplies every tool at
runtime. The plugin bundles workday for every Workday question, workday-tools-only when the
session cannot read gateway resources, and workday-agent-dialogue after routing selects an agent.
workday-onboard and using-workday-design build the welcome card.
/plugin marketplace add Workday/everywhere
/plugin install sana@workday
The connector needs your Workday tenant's MCP URL and an OAuth client (ID and secret), entered by an organization Owner (or, in Claude Code, by each user) — the gateway does not support automatic client registration. The plugin's README walks through the setup, including the redirect URIs to register on the client. Members then sign in with their own Workday account.
Full configuration, connection, and troubleshooting docs live in the plugin's README:
plugins/sana/.
The everywhere plugin is now Sana from Workday. On Claude Code v2.1.193 or later, the
marketplace carries your everywhere@workday install and its settings over to sana@workday.
Claude Code then needs the new plugin fetched once:
/plugin marketplace update workday
/plugin install sana@workday
On older Claude Code versions, uninstall everywhere@workday and install sana@workday.
The @workday/everywhere SDK and its everywhere CLI — for building Workday Everywhere plugins
that run inside Workday — no longer live on main. They moved, with their full history, to the
sdk branch:
git switch sdkThe published package on npm is unchanged; releases from that branch are currently paused.
Naming note: "plugin" means two different things across these branches. On
mainit is a Claude Code plugin. Onsdkit is a Workday Everywhere plugin — a React app that runs inside Workday. They are unrelated formats.
