Release 2.33.0

Official release branch for the native Usercentrics SDK 2.33.0, cut from bump/2.33.0 (#253) plus the CI fix from #254.

Changes

  • package.json: version and iosPackageVersion → 2.33.0 (package-lock.json regenerated)
  • android/build.gradle.kts: usercentricsVersion → 2.33.0
  • sample/ios/Podfile.lock: Usercentrics/UsercentricsUI → 2.33.0 (native Sentry dependency no longer present)
  • CHANGELOG.md: 2.33.0 entry copied verbatim from mobile-sdk
  • .github/workflows/ci.yml: pin slather to 2.8.5 (2.8.6, published 2026-10-09, breaks the iOS coverage step; tests themselves pass). Same change as fix(ci): pin slather to 2.8.5 #254.

Parity checks

  • Usercentrics / UsercentricsUI 2.33.0 on CocoaPods trunk; usercentrics / usercentrics-ui 2.33.0 on Maven Central
  • Android :app:dependencies resolves 2.33.0; iOS pod update UsercentricsUI resolves 2.33.0 and a second pod install produces no diff
  • npm run compile, npm test (37/37), assert_export.sh OK; lint unchanged vs master (0 errors)

After merge: publish the GitHub Release with tag 2.33.0.

slather 2.8.6 (published 2026-10-09) fails on the iOS coverage step with
"undefined method 'first' for nil" in profdata_coverage_dir, even though
all 84 sampleTests pass. The last green run (2026-10-07) used 2.8.5.

Skipping CodeAnt AI review — this PR is a back-merge between long-lived branches (release/2.33.0 → master). The diff here has already been reviewed when the underlying commits landed on the source branch, so re-running analysis would produce duplicate findings on already-reviewed code.

If you want to analyze this anyway (e.g. you resolved conflicts with new logic), comment @codeant-ai : review and CodeAnt will start a review.

High-Level Assessment

The coordinated version and lockfile updates are the appropriate release approach. A broader Ruby dependency-management change is unnecessary for this CI-only Slather pin.

• Updates the local React Native pod and Usercentrics pods to 2.33.0 with refreshed checksums. Removes Sentry from the resolved pod graph because Usercentrics 2.33.0 no longer declares it as a dependency.
