This just removes the background color for the heading, because this is not needed. The correct color was already in the host styles for the header.
Also there were some minor css issues that I solved. selectors with no styles. Also there was a leftover mixin styles that was causing syntax issues. They were leftover legacy Sass-era helper code, not active behavior. The current repo uses plain CSS, and no code path references that mixin anymore.
