A fast, native control center for Ubuntu, written in Rust.
Monitor, clean, and maintain your system from one window, including the
drivers, update settings and startup commands Ubuntu 26.04 no longer has a GUI for.
- Overview: what needs attention (updates, reboot, disk, memory, pressure, temperature, battery), each item one click from its fix, plus the top apps by CPU and memory.
- Performance: live CPU, memory, network, disk I/O and temperature graphs, plus processes grouped by app, with end or force quit.
- Storage: disks, a large-file scanner, and build-artifact cleanup (
node_modules,.venv,target/, …). - Apps: installed packages by size; install, uninstall or bulk-remove.
- Cleanup: apt cache, unused packages, logs, crash reports, trash, old Snaps, Flatpak runtimes and kernels.
- Drivers: see what your hardware needs and install the recommended driver (NVIDIA, Wi-Fi, OEM) in one click.
- Updates: install updates, browse package history ("what changed on Tuesday?"), set automatic updates, and check readiness before moving to a new Ubuntu release.
- Startup: toggle autostart apps, add your own login commands, start or stop services.
- Sources, System Info: APT repos and PPAs, hardware details.
Safe by default: it never runs as root (each action asks through pkexec), OS-critical items are read-only, and destructive actions need two clicks.
On Ubuntu 24.04 or newer, download the .deb from Releases, then run:
sudo apt install ./upulse_*_amd64.debBuild from source instead with Rust and sudo apt install build-essential pkg-config libgl1-mesa-dev libwayland-dev libxkbcommon-dev libx11-dev:
git clone https://github.com/Rusty-Gopher/UPulse && cd UPulse && ./install.sh
