Backend and embedded developer, five years in, and I still start more projects than I can maintain.

Hey there, I'm Nek. Vietnamese, a complete computer nerd, and an idiot who spends most of his waking hours in front of a computer.

I study computer science on the cybersecurity track. Along the way I've written four seasons of FRC and FTC robotics code, spent two years behind a camera, and built a Discord bot that quietly reached about six thousand servers before I archived it.

I spent years saying I despise web development. Then I shipped two Next.js sites. Draw your own conclusions.

• Rasmai: a Discord bot for maimai DX. Reads your DX NET scores, works out where your skill actually sits, and ranks the charts where a realistic push gains the most rating.
• nguyen.ink: my corner of the internet.
• Aurora Alerts: tells me when aurora activity is forecast within three days, off NOAA space weather data.
