Keyboard Freezes and Secondary Keys Not Appearing on Long-Press.

Version: [4.2.3] + the previous versions on F-Droid.
Device: [redmi 9]
Android Version: [Android 12]

• Description:
Intermittently, the keyboard becomes unresponsive — keys freeze and stop registering input. Additionally, long-pressing keys fails to display the secondary/alternate characters popup.

• Steps to Reproduce:

1. Use the keyboard normally for a period of time.
2. At random intervals, keys stop responding (freeze).
3. Long-pressing a key does not show the secondary character popup.

• Expected Behavior:

· Keys should respond to input consistently.
· Long-pressing a key should display the secondary/alternate characters.

Actual Behavior:

· Keys freeze intermittently and become unresponsive.
· Secondary key popups do not appear on long-press.

•Additional Notes:

· The issue appears to be intermittent and not tied to a specific action.
· I use Arabic-English, the issue affects both languages.
· Changing the language or closing the keyboard unfreeze it temporarily.

could you try the v4.2.6 there were multiple optimisation from v4.2.3 - v4.2.6 , you can update from fdroid build to github to fdroid build like normal, they are the same build, it just need to be one version above to upgrade

Sorry about the update, I wasn't aware that there are new updates on GitHub.
I tried something now and it might fixed the issue. I changed the option [add variants defined in keyboard languages] to [add very common variants (default)]

And somehow I hadn't encountered the issue since. I will keep using this version now just to be sure and to report on it if you need more updates. If the issue shows again, I will update the app and give you an update to this report. Thanks.

You can report it with log when it happens , lets make it as stable as possible, the secondary key layout isn't stable at the moment even though you aren't facing any issue currently

The issue persists even after updating the app. I saved the log file immediately after I encountered the issue, and it happened minutes after the update.
