Changelog:

  • Prevent hidden RGB in transparent pixels from consuming numeric palette slots. Recovery keeps the requested count and initialization method, and does not retry for colors removed only by cleanup. Kittl/vectorizing#91
  • Preserve visible colors when hidden RGB shares a cluster, fixing navy artwork turning near-black at 3 colors. Palette correction leaves masks, geometry and paint order unchanged. Kittl/vectorizing#92
  • Add the exact snail image regression, alpha-boundary checks and independent color-bias tests. Preserve original lower-level palette coverage and approved geometry hashes.

fix(color): recover numeric palette slots lost to transparency (#91)

Retry only when an occupied raw cluster has no visible pixels, before component cleanup. Keep numeric counts and seed methods unchanged, clean only the final pass, and leave solver input arrays untouched.

Add regressions for transparent palettes, cleanup-only losses, unused centroids, empty images and repeated solves. Preserve the original lower-level SVG hash and HTTP profile contracts.

Compensate shared numeric palette centers for masked RGB contributions while keeping cluster assignments, paint order and geometry fixed. Leave auto and binary processing unchanged.

Add the exact snail fixture and regressions for navy preservation, alpha boundaries, independent bias references and no-op behavior. Check corrected Aftermath fills without replacing approved mask or geometry hashes, and retain the original lower-level palette test.
