Bye-bye, trimpots. The official DVMProject duplex modem has 100% software calibration. Made for use with DVMHost and DVMFirmware, this modem allows you to turn any radio into a fully digital-capable base station.
DVM-V1 Modem boards are available from the W3AXL Online Store. Purchasing through W3AXL supports development efforts for the DVMProject team and future hardware projects!
Revision C.1 was the first release of the hardware.
Revision C.2 added M2.5 mounting holes and replaced the I2C header with an LED header
See the below image for radio interfacing information via the RJ45.
The DVM-V1 is designed to use the standard duplex dvmfirmware using the Makefile.STM32F4_DVMV1 makefile as follows:
git clone --recurse-submodules https://github.com/DVMProject/dvmfirmware.git
cd dvmfirmware
make -f Makefile.STM32F4_DVMV1The compiled firmware can then be loaded via ST-Link, or with the onboard USB bootloader using the following commands:
# Place the V1 into bootloader mode
dvmhost -c <config.yml> --boot
# Flash the binary using stm32flash
stm32flash -w <firmwarefile.bin> -b 115200 <serial port>Support is available on our Discord server - there are many users and project members online who can help with any issues you may encounter. Join here!
