uv audit fails on Pillow 12.3.0: 41 advisories (TiffDecode, multi-frame loaders, JPEG/FPX heap overflows, ...), all fixed in 13.0.0. There is no fixed 12.x release.

Changes (uv.lock only, plus one pyproject.toml exemption):

  • Pillow 12.3.0 -> 13.0.0 (uploaded 2026-10-16, already older than the 7-day window, so no override needed)
  • aiohttp 3.14.3 -> 3.14.5, filelock 4.0.3 -> 4.2.4, setuptools 84.0.0 -> 84.2.0: also flagged by uv audit, and the audit job can't go green without them
  • certifi 2026.7.22 -> 2026.10.19 (PYSEC-2026-4320, compromised emSign roots). Uploaded 2026-10-20, inside the window, so it gets a scoped exclude-newer-package exemption.
  • virtualenv 21.12.1 -> 21.14.13 (15 advisories). Uploaded 2026-10-22, inside the window, so it gets its own scoped exemption.

Checked: uv audit --locked reports no known vulnerabilities, uv lock --check is clean, and uvx prek run --all-files passes locally.

uv audit failed on Pillow 12.3.0 (41 advisories, all fixed in 13.0.0, with no
fixed 12.x release) and on aiohttp, certifi, filelock and setuptools, and on virtualenv.
Bump each to its fixed release: Pillow 13.0.0, aiohttp 3.14.5, certifi
2026.10.19 (PYSEC-2026-4320, compromised emSign roots), filelock 4.2.4 and
setuptools 84.2.0, virtualenv 21.14.13.

certifi 2026.10.19 and virtualenv 21.14.13 landed inside the 7-day exclude-newer window, so
each gets a scoped exclude-newer-package exemption. Pillow 13.0.0 is already
older than the window and needs none.
